Cal Anderson Park - Capitol Hill Adventure
By Don and Peggy Doman
The north west corner of Cal Anderson Park was currently under construction and was designated to contain an entrance to the underground Capitol Hill Station of Sound Transit's Light Rail, then incomplete. Cal Anderson Park is a public park on Seattle, Washington's Capitol Hill with the Lincoln Reservoir in the middle and the lighted Bobby Morris Playfield on the extreme south end.
The north end of the open park features a large mountain-shaped water fountain remarkably shaped like the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Washington. The fountain feeds a narrow spillway, which empties into a shallow texture pool, a reflecting pool, and finally a wading pool.
We've driven by the park dozens of time, but on a particularly beautiful autumn morning, it offered a delightful and relaxing walk.
We enjoy meeting people and we expect to have a wonderful time when we travel. Our expectations are almost always met. If you have a favorite restaurant or a favorite hotel, where they offer exceptional service, please, share your favorites with us. Or if you have a B&B, hotel, or restaurant that you would like us to try and then include in our stories tell about what you have. No matter what, please share your thoughts.
